Memorial Families,
It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of our second semester! Our last day before winter break is December 20th, and we’ll close out the year with a festive holiday assembly. This year’s assembly will feature a special performance from our very own Staff Memorial Band, along with Minute-to-Win-It games where grade levels will compete for bragging rights! It has been such a joy to watch our students grow academically, personally, and socially this semester. We are incredibly lucky to have such a caring and driven student community here at Memorial.
In the spirit of giving, our students and staff have gone above and beyond this holiday season. Through a partnership with the Salvation Army, we’ve sponsored several families for the holidays. Our Deck the Halls event raised nearly $300 to support our very own Michael Jancar. The cafeteria staff led our third annual “Sock it to Me” challenge, collecting new socks and hats for the Sub Zero Mission, which works to ensure no one freezes in America.
Our final act of kindness for 2024 is the Memorial Holiday Raffle, with all proceeds supporting local families in need. We are incredibly proud of our students for their generosity, compassion, and commitment to making a positive impact. Their selflessness is truly heartwarming.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a restful winter break! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on January 6th.
Ms. Blackburn
