Constitution Day Presentation
History is coming alive at Memorial middle school!
Eighth graders have had the opportunity over the last two weeks to really experience what history is about! All eighth graders had a presentation from constituting America, where they learned about the foundation and implementation of our constitution! The presenters from Constituting America came with an interactive learning experience complete with pocket constitutions, USA merch, and prizes! Currently students have been given the opportunity at MMS to write for the contest for Patriot’s Pen, a local and national writing contest through the VFW.
Boston Tea Party Simulation
In 8th grade social studies, students had the unique opportunity to learn about the Boston tea party through this annual celebration of tea and crumpets. This fancy celebration captured the attention of her students while promising to be a highlight of their last year at Memorial.
