Mentor Cardinal Youth Football & Cheerleading

MCYFA works in connection with the Mentor Varsity Football and Cheerleading Programs to provide young athletes an opportunity to play football and cheer in a good moral and ethical environment under the supervision of certified coaches with an emphasis on scholastics and physical fitness.  Registration for ages 6 to 12 for football and 5 (must be attending Kindergarten) to 12 for cheerleading is now open through June 30th.  For more information and to register, go to

NAMI Lake County

We are excited to share with you a new offering from NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Lake County designed to support our community's youth!  Our new Adolescent Support Group (ASG) aims to equip middle-school aged teens to overcome life's challenges through creativity, connection, and coping skills.  This free peer-led program will take place every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning April 3rd.  Meetings will be held in the Frances Cleveland Room of Mentor Public Library - Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Avenue.  While the program is free, registration is required.  For more information and a QR code to complete the registration form, click NAMI Adolescent Support Group 



KidShow at the Great Lakes Mall

One BIG Day for one REALLY BIG FREE Event!  Join the fun on Saturday, March 23rd, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as the KidShow returns to the Great Lakes Mall, 7850 Mentor Avenue in Mentor.  Free entertainment, kids' activities and crafts, costume characters, snacks, prizes, exhibitors featuring kids and family products and services, and much, much more! 
Come early and get one of our 500 free Goody Bags at the KidShow Registration Center at the top of the Food Court.  In celebration of our 25 years, five bags will hold red envelopes with each envelope having a different prize:

Mentor Cardinals Breakfast Shooting Club

Sign up now to join the Breakfast Shooting Club!  This is for all girls currently in grades 6-8 at Shore and Memorial this spring!  Coach Mihalick (Perry Boys Assistant & OnePercent Owner) and Mentor Varsity Coach, James Hrusovsky will be working with the girls once a week at each middle school from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. We will be working on shooting skills and habits to start the off-season! Mentor Public Schools Kindergarten Registration 2024-2025

Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-25 school year will open on Friday, March 1st, 2024 for children who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2024.  During the month of May, a Kindergarten Meet & Greet will be held at each elementary school.  Only those students who are pre-registered by May 1Kindergarten Kids, 2024 will be able to participate in this event where they will receive a "Class of 2037" T-shirt once they are registered.  For more information and a link to the online registration, click Kindergarten Registration 2024-25
