News from the Mentor Ice Arena

Try Hockey for Free! will be held on Saturday, February 22nd from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.  All players must pre-register at https://www.tryhockeyforfree.com/
 
Come have some fun and learn about hockey and other programs offered at the Mentor Ice Arena.  Equipment is provided.  Questions?  Call 440-974-5730.
 
 

Mentor Schools Foundation Read-a-Thon

The MSF Read-a-Thon runs from February 10-21 and will feature prizes for readers, including pizza for all participants from Longo's Pizza, special prizes for students who raise more than $25, and classroom prizes for students and teachers!  All proceeds benefit the Mentor Schools Foundation's Grant Program for enriching the educational experience in the schools.

20th Annual Skills Camp

Hitting, Pitching, Catching & Infielding Camp for Kids 2nd - 8th Grade

 
2020 Mentor High School Baseball Program 20th Annual Skills Camp will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mentor High School Gym.  The cost for early registration is $50.00 which includes a camp T-shirt, lunch, participation in skills competition, and a guest speaker

 Girl Scout Troop Formation

Grades K-5 are welcome to a group formation event on Tuesday, February 18th at 6:00 p.m. at the Mentor Public Library (Garfield Room), 8215 Mentor Ave.

Mentor Sparkle Cheerleaders

If you are currently in grades 8 to 11 you could tryout to be a 2019-2020 Mentor Sparkle Partner!

The Sparkle Cheerleading team is an inclusive team comprised of students with and without disabilities. The coaches are looking for male and female students to join the team and partner with Mentor students with disabilities. The tryout information and application are available at the high school and both middle schools. There will be a short mandatory meeting for all interested parents and students on Thursday, February 20th at 6:30 p.m. in Digital Lab C at Mentor High School. The application must be completed and brought to the meeting.
